scenic painting

This skills week we have been working at the Nottingham playhouse working on scenic painting, we started by marking out a coloumn drawing on the frame we were given and then we built up the colours to create a 3D column. i really enjoyed learning how to build up the effects colours and texture to make the column work. it was interesting how to use shadow and highlights to create the 3D effect and also really enjoyed marking in the background to give it placement.
